About the Position This role presents an exciting opportunity for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join a high-performing team focused on delivering outstanding building projects. You will be integral in providing comprehensive cost management and advisory services, ensuring project objectives are met efficiently. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, offering accurate cost estimates, budget management, and advice on value engineering and risk management. Building strong client relationships is key to delivering innovative, cost-effective solutions aligned with project goals.
Duties
- Provide detailed cost advice and estimates for specific projects.
- Conduct trade take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Manage variations and site valuations with precision.
- Implement value management strategies and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Attend design meetings and maintain active client communication.
- Prepare comprehensive cost reports and conduct financial reconciliations.
- Perform feasibility studies and assess project viability.
- Utilise industry-leading software, including MS Office and CostX.
Skills and Experience
- Membership in a recognized professional organisation (e.g., RICS, AIQS).
- 5+ years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience in the building sector.
- Strong understanding of Quantity Surveying principles and construction practices.
- In-depth knowledge of the latest industry methodologies and innovations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
