Residential Project Manager Manteena Canberra ACT Full-time, Onsite

Manteena is seeking a Residential Project Manager to lead the delivery of architecturally significant homes in Canberra. This role involves managing bespoke residential projects from concept to completion, working directly with clients, leading architects, and skilled trades.

Manteena Residential specialises in bespoke residential projects throughout the ACT, including new homes, extensions, and heritage restorations. The company's work has been recognised with multiple industry awards, such as MBA National Residential Builder of the Year (2021) and MBA ACT House of the Year (2023). To support ongoing growth, Manteena is introducing this Project Manager position to coordinate clients, trades, and internal stakeholders, ensuring consistent project delivery from inception to handover.

This is a client-facing, end-to-end Project Manager role offering genuine ownership of projects and their outcomes. In collaboration with the Operations Manager and Site Manager, you will oversee a select portfolio of high-value residential projects, focusing on exceptional delivery in terms of quality, programme, budget, and client experience.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage 2–4 concurrent bespoke residential projects, with scale being a determining factor.
• Oversee project delivery from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and consultants.
• Lead project programming, procurement, budgeting, and cost control.
• Partner with the Operations & Site Manager to ensure quality on-site delivery.
• Navigate design complexities and resolve issues while safeguarding design intent.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and mentor emerging team members.

Who you are: You are an experienced construction professional with a background in high-end residential projects and a clear understanding of the care required for exceptional home delivery.

• Trusted Relationship Builder: You foster confidence through clear communication, active listening, and integrity. You recognise the responsibility involved in delivering a client’s home and approach this with professionalism, empathy, and composure.
• Design-Aware & Detail-Oriented: You possess a strong appreciation for architectural design, detail resolution, and materiality. Experience or qualifications in architecture, interior design, or design coordination will be highly regarded.
• Structured, Calm & Outcomes-Focused: You are organised, commercially aware, and comfortable managing complexity. You adopt a measured, solutions-focused approach and excel in an environment that values ownership and accountability.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

• Essential:
• Proven experience delivering custom residential or high-end homes within Australia.
• Strong knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC)/Building Code of Australia (BCA), building codes, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Relevant trade, construction, or building-related background.
• Desirable:
• Formal qualification in Building, Construction Management, Architecture, or Design.
• Relevant licences or registrations (e.g., Builder’s Licence).
• Experience in architecturally designed or heritage projects.
