Avante Linemarking is seeking a highly organised and proactive Scheduling Assistant to join their growing team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth planning, coordination, and delivery of projects across Queensland. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting daily operations, managing schedules and resources, and maintaining communication between crews, clients, and management to keep projects running efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Operations Manager in coordinating project schedules, allocating crews, and managing equipment and vehicle resources to ensure timely completion of works.
- Support the Operations Manager in planning daily and weekly workflows to meet project timelines and client expectations.
- Communicate effectively with site teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure clarity and consistency across all operational activities.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and assist in implementing solutions to maintain productivity.
- Maintain accurate records of project updates, variations, resourcing, and compliance documentation.
- Assist with job preparation, including reviewing site requirements and ensuring all materials, signage, and traffic management plans are in place.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes and systems.
- Compile Quality Assurance Records, photos, etc., for submission to clients per contractual obligations.
About You:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an operations, scheduling, or coordination role within the construction, civil, or infrastructure industry.
- Experience in the preparation of Quality Assurance activities & documentation for submission to clients is preferred.
- Experience in line marking, road construction, or other infrastructure projects, with a focus on small through to large-scale operational requirements.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and professional approach to handling high-value clients.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Competent in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling or project management software.
- A proactive attitude with a focus on safety, teamwork, and efficiency.
- Must have Australian work rights for this position.
