Senior Contracts Manager
On Demand HR is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager for a full-time, onsite position in Marrickville. The salary offered is $140,000 – $160,000 + superannuation.
About Us Turner Bros Commercial is a leader in the design, supply, project management, and installation of internal and external solar shading systems, automatic shading control systems, and hospitality window furnishings. We collaborate with architects, designers, facade engineers, procurement companies, general contractors, and government agencies. Our current projects include Mondrian Gold Coast, RACV Noosa, Coast Gold Coast, One Circular Quay Sydney, and Atlassian Sydney.
About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Contracts Manager. Key duties include:
- Taking end-to-end ownership of commercial fit-out contracts from award through practical completion, defects liability, and final account settlement.
- Administering contracts according to their terms, including issuing contractual notices, managing correspondence, and maintaining documentation obligations.
- Protecting contract margin and commercial outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identifying, pricing, negotiating, and recovering contract variations, including extension of time claims.
- Preparing, submitting, and managing head contract progress claims and responding to subcontractor payment schedules.
- Establishing, maintaining, and monitoring project programmes and milestones across concurrent fit-out projects.
- Coordinating procurement and subcontractor management to support programme delivery.
- Managing client relationships on active contracts, including escalation handling and issue resolution.
- Leading and managing a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators.
Requirements We are seeking a candidate who:
- Has demonstrated experience managing commercial fit-out or construction contracts end-to-end, from award through to practical completion and final account settlement.
- Has demonstrated experience in contract administration, including issuing contractual notices, managing correspondence, and maintaining documentation in accordance with contract terms.
- Has demonstrated experience in commercial and variation management, including identifying, pricing, negotiating, and recovering variations and extension of time claims.
- Has demonstrated experience preparing and managing progress claims and payment schedules under security of payment legislation.
- Has demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining project programmes and driving delivery milestones.
- Has demonstrated experience managing client relationships across active contracts or projects.
- Has demonstrated experience leading and managing a team of project managers or coordinators.
Highly desirable:
- Background in commercial fit-out, interior construction, or a related built environment sector.
