Frontline Construction Australia is seeking a Senior Design Coordinator to join their team in South Windsor. This role reports to senior management and is responsible for leading the coordination and approval of design elements for commercial and industrial construction projects.

About the Role: The Senior Design Coordinator will manage the entire design process, lead a team, consult with stakeholders, and ensure designs meet quality standards, client requirements, and regulatory compliance. The position requires strong project management and leadership skills, along with a comprehensive understanding of construction approvals and building codes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the full design process from concept to construction approvals, ensuring adherence to project specifications and client needs.
• Manage and mentor the design team, promoting collaboration, productivity, and professional growth.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout projects.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to meet design milestones and project deadlines within budget.
• Ensure the preparation and submission of all necessary documentation for council approvals, including Development Applications (DA), Construction Certificates (CC), and Complying Development Certificates (CDC).
• Deliver key design stages, encompassing marketing materials, design drafting, and comprehensive documentation.
• Conduct thorough quality assurance reviews of design documents and drawings to verify accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Skills & Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in design management or coordination, preferably within the commercial and industrial construction sectors.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing design teams and projects.
• A strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods in commercial and industrial settings.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools.
• Exceptional project management, communication, and organisational skills.
• Extensive knowledge of Australian building codes, standards, and regulations.
