Harrison Barratt Group is a well-established builder of genuinely bespoke architectural homes across Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, Lower North Shore, Inner West, and Northern Beaches. They manage projects ranging from $3M to $6M, handling design and construction in-house. This approach ensures each project is unique. The company has established a reputation for thoroughness, without shortcuts or compromises, evidenced by their client conversion rate.

This pivotal role focuses on preconstruction, managing the entire process from initial client engagement through to project completion. You will engage directly with clients from the outset, collaborating with the in-house design team on scope, value engineering, and buildability, extending beyond purely numerical analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the estimating and preconstruction process from inception to conclusion.
• Engage directly with clients, architects, and consultants from the initial brief to the construction phase.
• Develop detailed scopes of work and cost plans for custom architectural homes.
• Collaborate with the design team on value engineering, balancing budget considerations with design objectives.
• Apply a practical understanding of buildability to all projects.

Candidate Profile:

The company is considering two candidate profiles:

• An estimator with demonstrable first-principles pricing experience in custom or high-end residential construction, comfortable taking ownership of a project from start to finish.
• A qualified tradesperson, preferably with a carpentry background, seeking to transition into estimating and preconstruction, with potential for development within the role.

Crucially, candidates must possess a genuine, hands-on understanding of construction, a keen interest in bespoke residential building, and a desire for a long-term career commitment.
