Senior Project Engineer / Project Engineer – Gympie, QLD

Multiworks Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time, onsite Senior Project Engineer or Project Engineer to join our team in Gympie. We are a civil and utility infrastructure company providing a range of construction, engineering, environmental, and contract maintenance services across sectors including water, power, rail, transport, defence, and private developments. About the Role We are looking for a skilled individual to contribute to project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the project manager with project planning and start-up activities.
• Ensure project delivery aligns with agreed programs, timelines, and quality standards.
• Support the project manager and site construction team in preparing, planning, and executing construction activities.
• Undertake contract administration, including budget/program reporting, procurement, productivity tracking, progress claims, variations management, and issuing ITPs for specific work activities.
• Liaise with clients on technical queries, inspections, project scheduling, and coordinating deliveries.
• Formulate, maintain, and ensure compliance of QA documentation.
• Oversee and manage site resources, including subcontractors, suppliers, service authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Manage project programs/schedules as directed by the project manager.
• Prepare project reporting on daily works, project progress, and project costs.

Candidate Profile: This position is suited to a candidate with:

• A minimum of 4 years' experience delivering civil infrastructure projects.
• Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering or equivalent.
• Previous experience working on civil infrastructure projects such as electricity, rail, water, gas, or roads.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering quality-driven projects to defined specifications and standards.
• Knowledge of project management software tools, including Microsoft Project or Procore.
• Strong knowledge of ground conditions and material handling practices.
• Previous experience in bulk earthworks.
• Demonstrated experience in client management.
• Must possess earthmoving knowledge, including scrapers and mass earth moving.
• Must have a good understanding of cuts/fill operations, benching, battering, and site levelling.
• Knowledge of GPS and machine control systems.
• Competence in managing subcontractors, plant operators, and plant utilization.
