Senior Project Engineer / Project Engineer – Gympie, QLD
Multiworks Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time, onsite Senior Project Engineer or Project Engineer to join our team in Gympie. About the Role We are looking for a skilled individual to contribute to project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the project manager with project planning and start-up activities.
- Ensure project delivery aligns with agreed programs, timelines, and quality standards.
- Support the project manager and site construction team in preparing, planning, and executing construction activities.
- Undertake contract administration, including budget/program reporting, procurement, productivity tracking, progress claims, variations management, and issuing ITPs for specific work activities.
- Liaise with clients on technical queries, inspections, project scheduling, and coordinating deliveries.
- Formulate, maintain, and ensure compliance of QA documentation.
- Oversee and manage site resources, including subcontractors, suppliers, service authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Manage project programs/schedules as directed by the project manager.
- Prepare project reporting on daily works, project progress, and project costs.
Candidate Profile: This position is suited to a candidate with:
- A minimum of 4 years' experience delivering civil infrastructure projects.
- Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering or equivalent.
- Previous experience working on civil infrastructure projects such as electricity, rail, water, gas, or roads.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering quality-driven projects to defined specifications and standards.
- Knowledge of project management software tools, including Microsoft Project or Procore.
- Strong knowledge of ground conditions and material handling practices.
- Previous experience in bulk earthworks.
- Demonstrated experience in client management.
- Must possess earthmoving knowledge, including scrapers and mass earth moving.
- Must have a good understanding of cuts/fill operations, benching, battering, and site levelling.
- Knowledge of GPS and machine control systems.
- Competence in managing subcontractors, plant operators, and plant utilization.
