With experience across more than 45,000 projects of various types, sizes, locations, procurement methods, and construction techniques, we serve the construction industry in Australia and internationally.

We are a national provider of Quantity Surveying services to the building and construction sector, operating from offices in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Newcastle, Sydney, Miranda, Canberra, and Melbourne, with support from local representatives across rural and regional Australia.

Our Sydney CBD office is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our expanding team. This position is suitable for an individual who appreciates a lively, fast-paced work environment and excels when collaborating within a team on a broad range of project types.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertaking detailed measurement and pricing of construction works.
• Preparing preliminary and detailed cost estimates.
• Analysing estimate components and advising clients on cost alternatives or value-engineered design solutions.
• Collaborating as part of a project team to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Undertaking site inspections to monitor progress and verify works completed.
• Preparing and/or reviewing estimates for initial reports for financiers.
• Preparing progress claims and undertaking claim assessments.
• Mentoring junior team members.

Skills, Qualities & Experience

• High attention to detail with a methodical and organised approach to work.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience in the Australian market preferred.
• Must have current work authorisation to work in Australia.
• Proficient in CostX and electronic measurement systems.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies.
• AIQS and/or RICS membership preferred.
• Successful, enthusiastic, and motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
• Enjoys working in a lively team environment and contributing to group success.
• Excellent telephone manner and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills with confidence using industry software and Microsoft applications.
