Full-time, Onsite

Alpine Truss is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Scheduler to join our Frame & Truss team. This is a critical leadership role responsible for taking ownership of logistics planning, scheduling operations, and leading a team to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.

Based at our Wangaratta site, this role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage competing priorities, build strong stakeholder relationships, and drive operational excellence across the scheduling function. As the Senior Scheduler, you will be the key link between our production, transport, sales, and customer teams, ensuring schedules are optimised, resources are effectively allocated, and customer expectations are consistently exceeded. This role is based on site at our Wangaratta location and requires 5 days on-site attendance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and support the Scheduling team to achieve operational and customer service objectives.
  • Take ownership of logistics planning and scheduling activities across the Frame & Truss operation.
  • Prioritise daily scheduling requirements to ensure customer commitments and delivery deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate production schedules, deliveries, and resources to maximise efficiency and minimise disruption.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with builders, customers, transport providers and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage workflow and proactively identify scheduling conflicts, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure accurate job tracking, reporting and documentation.
  • Support invoicing, administration and operational processes as required.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, communication and service delivery.
  • Manage escalations professionally and deliver solutions-focused outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience in a senior scheduling, logistics, planning or operations coordination role within manufacturing, construction, transport or building materials.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to coach, motivate and develop a team.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills with a solutions-focused mindset.
  • High levels of resilience and the ability to remain composed under pressure.
  • Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Solid geographical understanding and experience optimising delivery schedules and logistics outcomes.
  • Confidence working with scheduling systems, Microsoft Office Suite and reporting tools.
  • A customer-centric approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
