This opportunity is also suitable for an experienced Supervisor ready for career advancement and possessing the necessary qualifications for a Site Manager position.

As a member of the Hutchies team, you will be part of a supportive and collaborative work environment. We are known for our down-to-earth culture and the strong relationships we foster internally and across our projects. You will encounter diverse opportunities, offering broad exposure to different projects and learning experiences. We value hard work and dedication and welcome your skills.

Responsibilities:

  • On-site management of subcontractors, plant equipment, and materials.
  • Planning and programming of works, including coordination of suppliers, consultants, subcontractors, labour, surveyors, and testers.
  • Ensuring safety through inductions, site supervision, and compliance with the safety plan.
  • Setting out and coordination with the surveyor.
  • Quality control, testing, and position checking.
  • Providing technical services, including the resolution of design issues.
  • Undertaking any other tasks required to ensure project completion on time and within budget, fostering positive relationships with subcontractors and clients.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Proven experience in a Site Manager or Supervisor role within civil construction projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage site operations, including subcontractors, plant, and materials.
  • Strong experience in planning and programming works, coordinating multiple stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
  • A solid understanding of site safety requirements, including inductions, supervision, and compliance with safety plans.
  • Experience overseeing quality control processes, including testing, set-out coordination, and inspections.
  • The ability to interpret drawings and resolve technical/design issues on site.
  • Strong organisational skills with the capacity to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
  • Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or working towards).

Ideally, the Site Manager will also have the capability to operate plant and equipment, including water carts, rollers, excavators, posi-track/bobcats, and graders.

All enquiries must be directed to either Katrina Stack or Bridget Mulvenna. Agency submissions will not be considered.
