Site Supervisor - Multiple Positions

About the Role

We are seeking two proactive and safety-focused Site Supervisors to join our team, supporting our Burleigh Heads and Stapylton facilities. In this role, you will oversee the complete, safe, efficient, and compliant operation of a BINGO transfer station/recycling facility. You will be a hands-on leader adept at managing in a fast-paced environment and committed to developing high-performing teams. Your leadership will be instrumental in cultivating a strong safety culture, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering team development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain a robust safety-first culture, ensuring adherence to all Safety, Environment, and Quality (SEQ) policies, procedures, and licence conditions.
  • Manage the daily operations of the site, encompassing:
  • Performance and uptime of plant and equipment.
  • Throughput and operational efficiency.
  • Stock control for incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Waste sorting and resource recovery processes.
  • Traffic management and vehicle coordination.
  • Monitor all vehicles entering and exiting the site, ensuring accurate data capture and compliance.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service, addressing issues professionally and efficiently.
  • Direct and manage all visitors on site, ensuring safe movement, induction, and compliance.
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members, building capability and future leadership pipelines.
  • Manage team performance, providing regular feedback and support.
  • Plan, prioritise, and coordinate site activities to meet operational targets.
  • Proactively identify risks to safety and productivity and implement solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and site performance.
  • Maintain site presentation, including internal and external areas.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities (e.g., EPA, Council).
  • Complete reporting and administrative tasks in line with operational and compliance expectations.

About You

  • Prior experience in a leadership role within a fast-paced, highly regulated operational environment.
  • Experience effectively leading, developing, and building teams.
  • Working knowledge of fixed and mobile plant and machinery.
  • Demonstrated experience in the effective transfer and application of principles to practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in the application of workplace health and safety practices and procedures.
  • Experience with computer use and a working knowledge of office software packages (MS Office).
