City of Mandurah Mandurah Full-time Salary: $112,068 + Superannuation + $10,000 Vehicle Allowance Vacancy: 071/2026

The City of Mandurah is seeking an experienced and qualified Supervisor – City Parks to join its team. This full-time, onsite role offers an opportunity to contribute to the delivery of outstanding services within a dynamic environment that values its people and the natural environment.

About the Role

As a Supervisor within the City Parks team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of high-quality maintenance and operational services across the City’s parks and reserves. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a strong community focus, ensuring positive outcomes and experiences for employees, ratepayers, and residents.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day delivery of parks and reserves maintenance programs, ensuring work is completed efficiently, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.
  • Coordinating maintenance crews and contractors to deliver planned programs of work.
  • Leading, motivating, and supporting a team, providing clear direction to meet daily operational requirements.
  • Supporting financial management functions, including contributing to forward planning and the preparation of maintenance budgets.
  • Promoting and contributing to a positive and constructive workplace culture, modelling behaviours that enhance team performance and engagement.
  • Ensuring all Work Health and Safety requirements are met, promoting a safe work environment and adhering to safe work practices at all times.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Diploma in Horticulture or similar.
  • Current unrestricted “C” class national driver’s licence.
  • Current White Construction Card.
  • Current certificate in Worksite Traffic Management.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in parks maintenance.
  • Developed leadership skills.

Additional Information

All applications will be assessed based on merit principles. If an applicant does not fully meet the requirements outlined in the position description, including essential qualifications and licences, the role may be reclassified, and an alternative remuneration package may be offered, subject to organisational needs and in line with the City of Mandurah Industrial Agreement.

The advertised salary commences at step 1, with potential for movement within the range based on demonstrated skills and experience. Incremental progression typically occurs at the conclusion of each 12-month period, in accordance with the Industrial Agreement.

As part of the recruitment process, candidates will be required to complete a pre-placement medical, including a drug and alcohol test.

This recruitment process may also be used to identify candidates for similar permanent or fixed-term opportunities that arise within the City over the next 12 months. Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.
