Noble Consulting Surveyors, a Western Australian surveying consultancy with over 20 years of experience supporting major mining, civil construction, and infrastructure projects across the state, is seeking a Survey Data & Drafting Technician. This permanent part-time or casual role is based in our East Bunbury office and offers flexibility, with an approximate requirement of three days per week, adaptable working hours. Applicants located in Perth who are willing to travel to Bunbury as needed will be considered.

About the Role Working collaboratively with Surveyors, Project Managers, and the office team, you will be instrumental in preparing, managing, and delivering survey data and drafting outputs for projects across Western Australia. Your responsibilities will include analysing survey data, preparing technical drawings, monitoring project deliverables, and ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness.

Key duties include:

• Preparing survey drawings using Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Producing construction set-out, as-constructed, and topographic drawings.
• Processing and interpreting survey data for project deliverables.
• Creating and maintaining project base files.
• Surface modelling and volume calculations.
• Preparing machine control models.
• Processing drone survey data and producing mapping outputs.
• Assisting with survey calculations and technical data preparation.
• Providing technical support to field survey teams.
• Liaising with Project Managers to monitor project deliverables from initiation to completion.
• Conducting quality assurance checks to ensure drafting outputs meet Noble Surveys' standards.
• Maintaining accurate project records in line with established workflows, procedures, and quality systems.

You will contribute to a variety of mining, civil construction, and infrastructure projects while working closely with experienced survey professionals and developing your technical capabilities.

About You We are seeking an individual with:

• Experience in survey drafting, survey data processing, engineering drafting, or a comparable role; or
• A qualification in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, coupled with strong CAD skills.
• Experience using Autodesk Civil 3D (essential).
• Experience with Trimble Business Center (highly regarded).
• Experience using Pix4D or other photogrammetry software (desirable).
• A sound understanding of survey techniques and survey data interpretation.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet project deadlines.
• An innovative approach to problem-solving.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to a collaborative and supportive team.
