ACEREZ, a collaboration between ACCIONA, COBRA, and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed by EnergyCo as the network operator for the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network, encompassing its design, construction, financing, operation, and maintenance. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct consortium, will execute the design and build phases of the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project. This new transmission network infrastructure is projected to provide a minimum of 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity from 2028, connecting 7.7 gigawatts of wind and solar projects, sufficient to power over 2 million homes annually.

This role is a remote project position operating on a 14 days on / 7 days off roster. Bus transport is provided from Sydney only, with pick-up and drop-off points between Sydney and the Mudgee region. Applicants located within NSW outside the Sydney transport route will be required to Drive In Drive Out (DIDO) at their own expense. This is not a FIFO role. Candidates residing outside NSW will need to arrange and fund their own travel to Sydney or the site if successful.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy vehicles for the safe transportation of materials, equipment, and plant across site access tracks, bulk earthworks, and transmission infrastructure works.
• Conduct pre-start checks and perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• Ensure loads are secured in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Support loading and unloading activities in coordination with site crews.
• Assist with general site duties as needed.
• Adhere to site safety procedures and fatigue management requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with operators, riggers, and construction teams.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years' experience operating heavy vehicles within civil construction or infrastructure projects.
• A valid HR/HC/MC driver’s licence (MC licence is highly regarded).
• Experience in renewable energy projects is highly desirable.
• Rigging or Dogging tickets are highly desirable.
• Additional tickets such as traffic control or working at heights are desirable.
• A full C Class driver’s licence is required at a minimum.
• Possession of your own vehicle.
• Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical and police check.
