Truck Driver and Excavator Operator

Lemi Haulage is seeking an experienced Truck Driver and an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team in Canberra ACT. This is a full-time, onsite role within the Civil Construction Industry, offering a long-term opportunity for individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic, a safety-first mindset, and a teamwork mentality.

Truck Driver Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily vehicle pre-start checks.
• Maintain truck log books.
• Transport materials to and from designated construction sites.
• Tip materials at designated sites as directed by site supervisors.
• Maintain and return delivery dockets daily.
• Record delivery logs accurately.
• Keep the truck clean.

Excavator Operator Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Operate excavator and other plant as and when required.
• Perform daily machine pre-start checks.
• Experience working on construction sites.
• Experience in bulk excavations, site cuts, site preparations, and loading trucks.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must possess a White Card, Asbestos Awareness, and Silica Card.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as and when required.

Truck Driver Requirements:

• Minimum HC Licence.
• Experience with a manual road ranger gearbox.
• Experience with truck and dog combinations.
• Previous experience in the civil industry is preferred.
• NHVR Mass Management System (PBS) experience is preferred.
• Possession of a White Card, Asbestos Awareness, and Silica Card.
• Clean driving record.
• Positive, can-do attitude and team spirit.
• Strong commitment to safety and Zero Harm.
• Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as and when required.

About the Role:

We are currently looking for an experienced Truck & Quad Dog Driver, with the understanding that there may be occasions where driving a Semi Tipper is required.
