Vac Truck / Hydro Excavation & Drain Cleaning Operator - Adelaide SA

Pipeline Technology Services is seeking an experienced Vac Truck / Hydro Excavation & Drain Cleaning Operator to join our expanding South Australian business. This full-time, onsite role is suited to an individual who enjoys varied work and possesses experience with vacuum excavation equipment, high-pressure drain cleaning units, and stormwater maintenance equipment.

The role involves working across civil, commercial, industrial, and utility sectors, delivering professional services in:

• Hydro excavation and non-destructive digging (NDD)
• Drain and sewer cleaning
• Stormwater pit and line cleaning
• CCTV drain inspections
• General vacuum loading and waste removal services
• Support for underground service locating activities

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate vacuum excavation trucks.
• Perform hydro excavation and non-destructive digging around underground assets.
• Carry out drain cleaning and jetting operations.
• Complete stormwater pit and pipeline cleaning.
• Operate CCTV inspection equipment (where experienced).
• Complete job documentation and pre-start checks.
• Maintain equipment to a high operational standard.
• Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and team members on site.
• Adhere to all company safety procedures and industry regulations.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience operating vac trucks and hydro excavation equipment.
• Experience in drain cleaning and high-pressure water jetting.
• Current HR Driver's Licence (minimum).
• Construction Industry White Card.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical assessments and drug and alcohol screening.

Highly Desirable:

• CCTV drain inspection experience.
• Service locating experience.
• Confined Space Entry certification.
• Working at Heights certification.
• First Aid qualification.
• HC Licence.
• Experience working within civil construction or utilities sectors.
