GMCT is seeking a permanent, full-time Work Health & Safety Business Support Officer. This role provides one Rostered Day Off (RDO) per month and is located in Fawkner. The position is classified under EBA Level 3.1, with a salary of $79,688.03 plus 12% Superannuation.
The Work Health & Safety Business Support Officer will contribute to the development of effective Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) management programs and initiatives. This will involve utilising systems and processes to assess their success, supporting GMCT’s safety culture. The role will offer support and assistance to the OHS team across all their activities, while maintaining excellence in customer service and OHS reporting. It also involves the end-to-end coordination of various OHS initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct day-to-day administration support to the WHS team, ensuring timely and efficient completion of administrative processes with a high level of attention to detail.
- Undertake minute-taking for OHS committee meetings and supervisor meetings as required.
- Monitor Daily Incidents Statistics and ensure they are triaged promptly.
- Complete and maintain documentation in line with organisational policies, procedures, and quality standards, contributing to continuous improvement within your scope of expertise.
- Compile and maintain detailed WHS monthly statistics, reports, and information for review by the Workplace Health and Safety Manager.
- Promote, build, and maintain positive communication and working relationships within work units and across other GMCT departments.
- Demonstrate a highly collaborative approach to building and fostering relationships.
Requirements for this Position:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar or comparable role.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- High-level interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to apply these with internal and external stakeholders.
- A tertiary qualification in a related discipline is desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, Power BI, WHS systems, and databases.
